Frequently asked questions
Can the birthday person see the entries beforehand?
Only if the book is public and they have the link. For a surprise, set the entries to private – then only you see them. On the day, show them the entries on your phone or hand over the PDF – or the printed book.
How do I send it to friends without giving it away?
Share the link in a separate group chat without the birthday person, or by email. Guests then simply write in their browser.
Do guests need an app or an account?
No. Guests scan the QR code or open the link and write right in the browser – grandparents included. Only you sign in to manage the book.
When should I create the book?
For a surprise, two to three weeks ahead gives everyone time to write. For the party itself, just make sure the QR poster is printed in time.
Can I close the book once the birthday is over?
Yes. Close it with one click, or set it to close by itself at a time you choose.
Does it work for a children’s party?
There’s a separate “Kids Birthday” template with child-friendly questions. The Birthday Book is aimed at adults and milestone birthdays.
