At midnight everyone raises a glass; by half past twelve nobody can remember who made which resolution. A digital New Year's Eve guest book captures the night: guests scan a QR code, write down their highlight of the year and upload a photo. And next New Year's Eve, you can look back and see who actually kept their resolutions.
A New Year's Eve guest book in three steps
1. Choose a template. Pagefully has a ready-made New Year's Book template with these fields:
- Year Highlight
- What am I leaving behind?
- New Year's Resolutions
- Word of the Year
- Photo
2. Put up the QR poster. In the "Share" tab you can download an A4 poster with a QR code – stick it up by the bar, next to the sparklers or on the fridge. Anyone who can't be there gets the link via WhatsApp.
3. Pinboard on the TV. Entries appear instantly. Shown as a colourful pinboard on the big screen, the guest book becomes part of the entertainment right up to the countdown.
Ideas for a relaxed crowd
- My most embarrassing moment of the year
- The song of my year
- My prediction: this will happen next year
- A resolution for someone else in the room
For honest answers, you can turn off "Name required" so guests don't have to give their name.
The ritual for next year
After the party, download the PDF or simply leave the book as it is. Next New Year's Eve, open it together and compare: who kept their resolution, and which predictions came true? Then create a new book – and over the years you'll build a little chronicle of your New Year's Eves.
Guests don't need an app or an account – a phone with a camera is all it takes.
